Travel Route :
Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, Ranchi, is well-connected by air, rail, and road, making it accessible for travellers from across the country. The nearest airport is Birsa Munda Airport, Ranchi, located around 15 km from the campus, with regular flights to major cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. From the airport, one can easily hire a taxi or use app-based cab services to reach the institute. For those traveling by train, Ranchi Railway Station is the closest major railhead, situated about 12 km away, and is well-linked with important routes such as Howrah, Delhi, and Patna. Auto-rickshaws, cabs, and buses are available from the station for direct access to the campus. Road connectivity is also convenient, with Ranchi being well-served by state and private buses from nearby cities like Jamshedpur, Patna, Dhanbad, and Kolkata. The campus lies on the Ranchi–Patna Highway (NH-33), ensuring smooth travel by bus or car.
Accommodation :
BIT Mesra will arrange limited hostel accommodation for participants, with 15 rooms in the boys’ hostel and 10 rooms in the girls’ hostel. Participant can also avail institute guest house facility on payment basis. Allotment will be made on payment basis and strictly on a first-come, first-served mode. Participants wishing to avail hostel accommodation are requested to send an email to icci2026@bitmesra.ac.in with the subject line ‘Hostel Accommodation’ on or before January 31, 2026. Confirmation will be subject to availability of rooms.
